 At the recent general meeting of ODIA held on March 7th, 2015, The family of Abamwa has extended a special invitation to all sons and daughters of Oghwoghwa Descendants In America to join them in Celeberation of Life well spent of their dearly beloved Mother, Grand Mother, Great Grand Mother, Sister and Aunt Late, Mrs Lucy Ogbijeje Abamwan (Nee Onobrukevwe) who slept in the Lord on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Mama left behind 5 children, 27 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren.
The event will take place on April 18 -19, 2015 at 15 Palmer Road, Yonkers,NY 10701 from 7:00pm to  1:00am prompt. Individual invitations has also been sent out by the family as well.

This special invitation was extended in recodnance of an adage in Urhobo that when a man went for hunting and killed a bush meat, he has to give the leged foot to the most senior elder in the community, thus the invitation was extende for and on behalf of the family by Imiregwa Lucky and Michael Abamwa with a Bottle of Hennessy, Kolanut, and Money for the elder to share the kolanut for prayer. This is a symbolic of whom we are and the royal community that we the Oghwoghwas belong. Isio !!!!
